The head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the preliminary squad for the fourth qualification window for the World Cup 2019 in China and 24 names are on the list.
The Serbian men team will play against Greece (September 13th) and Estonia (September 16th) in this window. The match against Greece will be played in Iraklion (Crete) and the one against Estonia, in Belgrade.
Among the 24 players there are players from EuroLeague teams and from NBA teams, so if they accept the invitation, it will be a great opportunity for basketball lovers to see the best Serbian players on the court.
The preparation process for the games against Greece and Estonia will start on September 2nd in Belgrade, where the team will stay until the trip to Crete.
Only 12 players will be chosen to play in the fourth window and the Serbian coach will choose the squad among Miloš Teodosić, Nemanja Nedović, Stefan Jović, Vasilije Micić, Stefan Peno, Bogdan Bogdanović, Dragan Milosavljević, Dejan Todorović, Aleksa Avramović, Aleksa Radanov, Nikola Kalinić, Vladimir Lučić, Marko Simonović, Ognjen Dobrić, Stefan Birčević, Nemanja Bjelica, Stevan Jelovac, Nikola Jokić, Miroslav Raduljica, Boban Marjanović, Nikola Milutinov, Ognjen Kuzmić, Đorđe Gagić and Nikola Jovanović.
In the second round of the qualification, the Serbian team is in group L with, already mentioned, Greece and Estonia, and also, Germany, Israel and Georgia. After the round is completed the three best teams from the group will qualify for the World Cup in China.
