Fourth window is getting closer, Đorđević announced preliminary squad (@FIBAWC)

The head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the preliminary squad for the fourth qualification window for the World Cup 2019 in China and 24 names are on the list. The Serbian men team will play against Greece (September 13th) and Estonia (September 16th) in this window. The match against Greece will be played in Iraklion (Crete) and the one against Estonia, in Belgrade. Among the 24 players there are players from EuroLeague teams and from NBA teams, so if they accept the invitation, it will be a great opportunity for basketball lovers to see the best Serbian players on the court. The preparation process for the games against Greece and Estonia will start on September 2nd in Belgrade, where the team will stay until the trip to Crete. Croatia made it to the second round, still can dream about World Cup (@FIBAWC)

Croatian team made it to the second round of World Cup Qualification by beating Romania with a score of 63 – 90. This was a “to be or not to be” game for Croatia because they needed a victory against the team from Romania due to their loss in February against the same rival, but now Drazen Anzulovic’s squad had help from NBA players and they played their roles excellently. Croatia is still on the road for one spot at the World Cup 2019 in China. Dario Saric and Ivica Zubac, combined, scored 42 points (22 from Saric and 20 from Zubac) and 21 rebounds (12 from the player from Philadelphia and 9 from the LA Lakers player). Their teammate, Bojan Bogdanovic, from Indiana Pacers, didn’t have a shooting night and finished the game with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. The same number of assists had Dario Saric.

In the third window of the Qualifiers for the China World Cup 2019, Greece won 78 – 96 against Israel in the Group H, while Croatia won 72 – 78 against Italy in the Group D.
