@FIBAWC: Serbia demonstrate power against Israel (@FIBA, Belgrade, Pionir)
In the last round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers, Serbia won 97 – 76 (+21) against Israel in a packed Pionir (also known as Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall). Aleksandar Đorđević’s squad, from the beginning, demonstrate their power against a direct opponent for the ticket to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in China . In a “to be or not to be” game, the home team won in all four quarters (26 – 18, 23 – 15, 18 – 17 and 30 – 26). For the hosts, on the court were all the twelve players the head coach Đorđević selected to play against Israel (Miloš Teodosić, Marko Simonović, Stevan Jelovac, Milenko Tepić, Dragan Milosavljević, Miroslav Raduljica, Stefan Birčević, Vladimir Lučić, Nikola Milutinov, Ilija Đoković, Aleksa Avramović and Đorđe Gagić) and all, except Gagić, managed to score.
