September Window: Đorđević unveils 16 players roster (@FIBA, Bjelica, Bogdanović)

The Head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the national selection that will compete in the September window of the European Qualifiers 2017-2019 games for the FIBA Basketball World Cup China 2019. Despite the fact that Boban Marjanović (Center, C), Miloš Teodosić (Point guard – Shooting guard, PG – SG) and Nikola Jokić (C) won’t play for the national team, the Serbian squad is ready for the new challenges. The First two mentioned players won’t play due the decision of their club, Los Angeles Clippers, and Jokić decided not to play due to unknown reasons. The Serbian national team will include, among others, Sacramento Kings Nemanja Bjelica (Power forward – Small forward, PF – SF) and Bogdan Bogdanović (SG), while plenty EuroLeague players had made the cut. The head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the preliminary squad for the fourth qualification window for the World Cup 2019 in China and 24 names are on the list. The Serbian men team will play against Greece (September 13th) and Estonia (September 16th) in this window. The match against Greece will be played in Iraklion (Crete) and the one against Estonia, in Belgrade. Among the 24 players there are players from EuroLeague teams and from NBA teams, so if they accept the invitation, it will be a great opportunity for basketball lovers to see the best Serbian players on the court. The preparation process for the games against Greece and Estonia will start on September 2nd in Belgrade, where the team will stay until the trip to Crete. As the 3rd Window games are coming closer, the teams are facing up some last moment bad or good news. Some of the players that the national team selectors counted most on, eventually, turned out not to be available for this round of qualifications games for the basketball World Cup 2019 in China. Crvena Zvezda is one step closer to the final In the first semi-final game of the Serbian Super League, Crvena Zvezda won 87 – 62 against Partizan and now is one step closer to the final. In the second semi-final game FMP will face Borac. Even though red and home team had 25 points difference, it didn’t look that way at the beginning of the game. Bot teams started tough game, but only Milenko Topić’s squad managed to finish it in the same manner. In the fourth quarter, when Partizan players realized that were losing, they stopped to fight.
