Red Star won in the first derby against Partizan with a score 85 – 100 in front of the black and white crowd and made fifth victory in ABA League, while this was third loss for Miroslav Nikolić’s team. “Aleksandar Nikolić” hall was in black and white colours but there were about 500 Red Star fans also. Partizan won in Spain against Bilbao 92 – 96 in the third round of the EuroCup, while their neighbour Red Star lost against Khimki with a score 85 – 78 in the third round of the EuroLeague. Black and whites didn’t start this season that well but they were working hard in every practice trying not to make same mistakes as in start of the season and their hard work is paying off now. In the fifth round of ABA League, Partizan won 117 – 104 against Igokea from Aleksandrovac in an amazing game in “Aleksandar Nikolic” Hall that celebrated with their home crowd after the game. Not long ago, Serbian national team won silver medal at EuroBasket 2017, and now the team has to be ready for new challenge, World Cup qualification tournament. In order to accomplish the goal, and that is booking ticket for China, to participate in World Cup 2019, Serbian head coach Aleksandar Đorđević announced preliminary squad.
