Yesterday night Alba Berlin won 80 – 96 against Partizan in Belgrade, in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Hall in the round 6 of EuroCup. Two players scored 20 points each for Berlin, Marius Grigonis and Spencer Butterfield. Also, two players scored 14 points each one of them, Dennis Clifford and Luke Sikma. Vanja Marinković scored 18 points, while Patrick Miller added 16. Novica Veličković finished the game with 10 points. While Berlin started hitting two shots points, Partizan started the game with two three point shots. Partizan won against Mega Bemax 89 – 102 (23 – 21, 21 – 30, 16 – 22, 29 – 29) in Sremska Mitrovica in Round 8 of ABA League. Looking into points by quarters, interesting fact is that Partizan scored more than 20 points in every 10 minutes of the game, while Mega only didn’t score more than 20 in the third quarter (16). And also judging by the whole game, anyone could see that this was an interesting game, with lots of points and lots of successful attacks but defense was really invisible here. After two losses in ABA League, Red Star managed to win in Belgrade 112 – 73 against MZT from Skopje in the Round 6 of the regional league. The reigning champions left guests without any chance of scoring a win and showed their full strength in the convincing home win against team from Macedonia. In the fifth round of ABA League, Partizan won 117 – 104 against Igokea from Aleksandrovac in an amazing game in “Aleksandar Nikolic” Hall that celebrated with their home crowd after the game. Both teams played great in offense and till the end it was an interesting game full of amazing plays, but in the end home team took the victory in their hands.
