September Window: Đorđević unveils 16 players roster (@FIBA, Bjelica, Bogdanović)

The Head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the national selection that will compete in the September window of the European Qualifiers 2017-2019 games for the FIBA Basketball World Cup China 2019. Despite the fact that Boban Marjanović (Center, C), Miloš Teodosić (Point guard – Shooting guard, PG – SG) and Nikola Jokić (C) won’t play for the national team, the Serbian squad is ready for the new challenges. The First two mentioned players won’t play due the decision of their club, Los Angeles Clippers, and Jokić decided not to play due to unknown reasons. The Serbian national team will include, among others, Sacramento Kings Nemanja Bjelica (Power forward – Small forward, PF – SF) and Bogdan Bogdanović (SG), while plenty EuroLeague players had made the cut. FMP won in the third semi-final game against Borac and now will face Crvena Zvezda in the Final of the Serbian Super League. The match between the team from Železnik and the team from Čačak finished with a score of 77 – 56. Both teams started well the third game but, at the end, the team from Železnik managed to win, all thanks to the great game showed by Michael Ojo. Borac, from Čačak, managed to win 64 – 59 against FMP Železnik in the second semi-final game of the Serbian Super League. The second finalist will be known after the third game and that team will face Crvena Zvezda. The guests, from Železnik, played better in the first half, but the second one belonged to the home team. Borac managed to return after FMP was leading by 17, and not just make the game more interesting but also win and celebrate with their fans. In the second semi-final game of the Sebian Super liga, FMP won 71 – 69 against Borac from Čačak, and now has a first match point. Three teams have already booked their tickets for the semi-finals, and the Black and the Red and Whites will play against each other, while FMP is still waiting for its opponent. In the Round 10 of the Serbian Super liga, Crvena Zvezda won 94 – 87 against Tamiš; Borac, 66 – 120 against Mladost; and Mega Bemax, 96 – 90 against Zlatibor. On the first day of the Round 9 in the Serbian Super League, Borac won 89 – 77 against Mega Bemax, Crvena Zvezda was better than Zlatibor with a score of 75 – 89 and Tamiš beat Mladost with a 21 points difference (102 – 81). In the game for the second place in the Group A, Borac managed to win in front of their own crowd. This was the second win in the league for the team from Čačak against Mega Bemax. The maximum lead for Borac was 28 points. Also the guests had been leading during the game, and their maximum lead was 7 points.
