@FIBA Window: Greece 7 – 0, Serbia 4 – 3 after the game in Crete (Bogdanović)

The Serbian national team lost 70 – 63 against Greece in the second part of the World Cup 2019 Qualifications. Aleksandar Đorđević’s squad didn’t show enough energy in Crete against the first team in the Group L. On paper, Serbia had a respectable team but without enough time during preparations process and especially without any friendly games Greece was too strong. Bogdan Bogdanović and company scored only 2 points in the crucial minutes. Also, the team showed lack of communication in defence and maybe that was the main reason why Serbia lost. And the fact that Greeks were guarding Bogdanović very well while his teammates didn’t have any other solution but to pass him the ball in offence. The Sacramento Kings shooting guard (Bogdanović) was the best scorer with 19 points while Stefan Jović (Munich point guard) finished the match with 11. On the other side, Nick Calathes and Georgios

Serbia lost; Germany, 1st to the next round (@FIBA Qualifiers, @FIBAWC)

Germany goes to the next round of the FIBA World Cup 2019 in China qualifiers from the 1st position in the group G, as they, again, managed to take a win against Serbia (81 – 88). The fact is that Serbia, although they lost, played very well during the whole game. Serbia was constantly up, at one moment they even had +9 points, but the Germans managed to melt down the difference during the second half. Comparing to a very focused start, when the team of Aleksandar Djordjevic was leaving it all on the court, they just couldn’t find their play in the 3rd and the last 4th quarter, what made the space for the excellent Germans to react, wake up, and show their own, very good skills. Dragan Milosavljevic brought in some amazing energy, while Boban Marjanovic added some super fun points, that put the atmosohere in Novi Sad

Serbian Team Work Makes The Dream Work (@FIBA Qualifiers, Third Window)

The game played yesterday in Georgia turned out to make more happy the guest team, than the hosts, team Georgia, since Aleksandar Djordjevic led his players to an important win (50 – 87). The leader of the game was the amazing Dejan Todorovic, scoring 24 points, five rebounds and six assists. Powerful appearance made Boban Marjanovic, as well. Even though, the coach, Aleksandar Djordjevic, was a little bit insecure about his play since he had a lack games, he still turned out to be an important cog for this selection of players, and force, experience and knowledge they needed. The favorite player of Partizan Belgrade fans and ex captain of that team, Dragan Milosavljevic finished the match with 15 points, six rebounds and four assists, while the guy who just sign with Efes BC, Vasilije Micic, contributed with 11 points, seven rebounds and the same number of assists. Crvena Zvezda won 97 – 88 in the third and final game against FMP for the fourth trophy in a raw of the Serbian Super League. Alen Omić was the MVP and the best scorer of the final. This was the third trophy that the Red and Whites were defending from the last season (first two were the “Radivoje Korać” Cup and the ABA League), and at the third time the charm is for Zvezda. As it was the case last season, Zvezda won 3 – 0 against the team from Železnik, but maybe the only difference was that this year FMP played much better, and they were very motivated but didn’t have the strength to finish the games as they started. This season the total difference was plus 16 for the Red and Whites, and last, plus 73. The MVP and the best scorer of the final playoff, Alen
