In the round 6 of the ABA League, Partizan NIS won 74 – 81 against Mega in the Sports Hall Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica (a town in Serbia). Until this round, Dejan Milojević’s squad was unstoppable but the Black and Whites, after changing their coach, had one motive more to win: all players wanted to show the new head coach, Andrea Trinchieri, that he could count on them. The First quarter of the game was the crucial one, when Partizan made 9 point difference against the home team and that quarter finished with a score of 15 – 24 for the guests. In the second and third quarters, the team from Belgrade was better than their colleges in Mega. Only in the last quarter of the match, the home team was better (19 – 12 was the result of the fourth quarter), but that wasn’t enough for winning their 6th

Čanak announced that he was leaving Partizan because, in his opinion, the team deserve better. It was a brave and honourable move. Everyone could see how much the coach love his club because of his unselfish sacrifice. “I said goodbye to players”, was the first thing Čanak said at the press conference after the fifth consecutive loss. “This team don’t show their best play, and I gave my best, my knowledge, energy but that wasn’t enough and something that Partizan needs in this moment. It was my fault we lost a home game against a team that isn’t better than us. And this is the best move, because the team needs new energy, shock therapy.

In the opening round of the season in the @EuroCup, @PartizanBC lost 82 – 73 against Trento (@AquilaBasketTN) on the road and showed two different faces during the game. The Opening quarter was fantastic for Partizan, because after 10 minutes they were leading by 7 (17 – 24). The Defense was amazing, all because an excellent communication between the players. After beating Cedevita (68 – 79) in the semi-finals of the ABA League Supercup, Crvena Zvezda won the first trophy in the season by winning 75 – 89 against Budućnost. In the First semi-finals Budućnost was facing another Serbian team, Partizan, and after the overtime celebrated with a score of 87 – 90. But, the only EuroLegaue team in the regional league (Budućnost) didn’t have the strength to celebrate against the excellent Red and Whites (Crvena Zvezda). The First half decided the winner of the match because after 20 minutes Milan Tomić’s squad was leading by 25 (57 – 32). The Montenegrin team took control of the game in the second half, but the team didn’t have the strength to score the victory in Laktaši (Republika Srpska, part of Bosnia and Herzegovina). The Red and Whites played excellent during the finals and manage to get even for the lost in

With no less than 8 new players in the team, the team from Zagreb showed some great teamwork, so their fans can definitely be excited about the new season.
