The Opening quarter was fantastic for Partizan, because after 10 minutes they were leading by 7 (17 – 24). The Defense was amazing, all because an excellent communication between the players. Attractive points and fast play. Trento didn’t have a solution for the visitors from Belgrade.
During the eight minutes in the second quarter the Black and Whites continued playing same as in the first, but then Đorđe Gagić made a technical foul and after that Trento made a 9 – 0. The result after the first half was 43 – 43.
Another unsportsmanlike foul was made by Gagić in the third quarter and the Black and White center had to leave the game and to spend the rest of the match in the locker room. When the foul happened, the result was 49 – 48 for the home team, and then Trento mad an 8 – 0 for the score of 57 – 48. Partizan managed to come back and before the last period of the game Trento was leading 62 – 58.
In the last quarter, the guests were trying to turn the game around but lots of mistakes in defense and not very good solutions in offense lead them to the first lost in the EuroCup. It looked like they used all their strength in the first part of the game and definitely the fouls Gagić made were the key moments of the match in Italy.
Nikola Radičević (G) was excellent in his team victory, but, first of all, it was a team win. Radičević scored 15, Devyn Marble (G) and Toto Forray (G) scored 14 each one, and Beto Gomes finished the match with 12 points.
In Partizan, Vanja Marinković (G) was the best scorer with 19 points, while Marcus Paige, the American guard, added 16 and the Australian center Jock Landale ended the game with 11 points.
