In the ABA League Round 16, Zadar is hosting Partizan in the Krešimir Ćosić Sports Hall, in one of the most beautiful cities on the Adriatic eastern coast (also known as Jadran). In Belgrade («White City«), in the Round 5, the game against Zadar was crucial for the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli). After the loss (85 – 95), the previous Partizan head coach, Nenad Čanak, resigned, and, on his place, came the current coach Andrea Trinchieri. And now the Serbian squad will try to revenge for the loss. The Black and White squad lost in the first test game before the start of the season against a German team, Oldenburg, after the overtime (OT), with a score of 93 – 95. In the first quarter, Partizan managed to have double-digits lead fast (25 – 12, +13), but before the 15 minutes break, the guests from Germany were only three points behind (45 – 42, -3). And in the second half both teams had mini-series till the last 60 seconds of the game when the score was 80 – 80. The team from Belgrade, Partizan NIS, lost (85 – 75) against Cedevita in the Round 22, final one in the regular season of the 2017-2018 ABA League, and help the team from Zagreb to dream about finishing the regular season as the second best. At least till Monday Cedevita can hope to gain the home court advantage against Budućnost, who will play against FMP Železnik in the final round of the regional league. That match will decide who will be second and third teams in the league after the regular season. Partizan NIS went to Zagreb where they will say goodbye to this season of the ABA League in the match against Cedevita, because the team from Belgrade won’t participate in the Playoffs. The four teams that will continue competing in the regional league are Black and Whites final opponent (Cedevita), Crvena Zvezda (that finished the regular season as the best team) and two teams from Montenegro: Budućnost and Mornar. For Partizan, the match against Cedevita is the last game in the league in the season 2017-2018. On the other hand, the team from Zagreb will continue their fight and if they win against Black and Whites they will have a chance to finish the regular season as the second best team and to have the home advantage against their opponent in the Playoffs (Budućnost). Partizan NIS is hosting Budućnost Voli in the Round 21 of ABA League after two weeks break due to domestic cups and national team games. Black and Whites won “Radivoje Korać” Cup by beating Crvena Zvezda in the final, while Budućnost won against Mornar in the final of the Montenegrin Cup. Now, the teams are back in ABA League and in the game against Nenad Čanak’s and the squad of Aleksandar Džikić, and both teams are ready for a new challenge: Partizan to stay at the fifth place and team from Podgorica to stay the first in the league before the Playoffs.
