@EuroCup Top 16 Round 4: @PartizanBC will try to surprise @ASMonaco_Basket

After the win in Belgrade (White City) against Partizan (68 – 72) in the EuroCup Top 16 Round 3, now, Monaco (La Roca Team, Les Rouges et Blancs, The Red and Whites) is hosting the Serbian team in the 4th round. Now, the team from Monaco has 2 wins and 1 loss, while the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) have 1 victory and 2 defeats. In the Stade Louis II, Partizan will try to surprise the home team and score an away win. But it won’t be easy, because, this time, the crowd won’t be on their side as it was the case in Belgrade. But in the Serbian capital, the crowd wasn’t enough for Trinchieri’s squad to celebrate. Except the excellent atmosphere, nothing was going good for about 30 minutes for Partizan (the players missed opened shots, especially three pointers), only in the last quarter the Black and Whites woke

In the EuroCup Top 16 third round, Partizan lost 68 – 72 against Monaco (La Roca Team, Les Rouges et Blancs, The Red and Whites) in a full Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall (also known as Pionir). This was the second loss of the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) squad in this Top 16, but the good thing in the match was that, even though they were losing, Partizan players didn’t give up and in the fourth quarter they managed to get back in the game but time wasn’t on their side. Nothing was good for the home team (players missed opened shots, especially three pointers) in the first 30 minutes. The Guests from Monaco played good defense and didn’t allow the home team to get closer to the basket, but left Trinchieri’s roster the chance to score from 6.75 m. but Partizan guards missed everything. An Interesting fact was that in

Partizan will play against Monaco (La Roca Team, Les Rouges et Blancs, The Red and Whites) in the EuroCup Top 16 third round, in the Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall (also known as Pionir). This will be the first match between these two teams after more than 35 years. Both teams have one victory and one loss in this EuroCup Top 16 2019, and both squads won in the second round. In the first round, the guests lost in Berlin (74 – 83) while Rytas Vilnius was better than the home squad with a score of 80 – 74. In the second round, Monaco was better than the Lithuanian team with a score of 75 – 70 and the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) won 78 – 66 against the German team. Looking back at the previous results in the Group E, it is obvious that all 4 teams will start fresh

@EuroCup Top 16: Impossible is nothing in Pionir, @PartizanBC vs Berlin (78 – 66)

In an excellent atmosphere in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall (also known as Pionir) Partizan won 78 – 66 (+12) against Berlin in the second round of the EuroCup Top 16. This is the first win for Trinchieri’s squad and the first loss for the German team in the Top 16, because the Serbian team lost 80 – 74 (-6) in the first round against Rytas Vilnius and Berlin was better than Monaco 83 – 74 (+9). After two rounds the situation in the group E is difficult because all the teams have one victory and one defeat (in the other game of the group, Monaco won against Rytas 75 – 70). In Belgrade (White City), the key factor of the victory was the strong and team play. One who was helping his teammates was the American-born naturalized Bosnian-Herzegovinian Point guard – Shooting guard Alex Renfroe who was the MVP

@EuroCup Top 16: Berlin without Peyton Siva in Belgrade (@PartizanBC, Pionir)

In the EuroCup Top 16 second round, Partizan is hosting Berlin in the Group E, in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall (also known as Pionir). The German squad came to Belgrade (White City) without their top performer, Peyton Siva, who is still recovering. He was injured in the end of October last year when his team played against Ludwigsburg in the German BBL. The American point guard had to deal with a fractured rib, he recovered, return and, now, is out again. In the first round the home team lost its away game against Rytas Vilnius (80 – 74 was the final score), while Berlin won 83 – 74 against AS Monaco. An Interesting fact is that Partizan last season played both against Rytas and the team from Germany in the EuroCup and lost in all games against both teams. Now will have the chance for the revenge against the

In the first game of the EuroCup Top 16, Rytas Vilnius won 80 – 74 against Partizan in the capital of Lithuania. The First half decided the winner because in the third quarter the result was 17 – 17 and in the fourth, 15 – 15. So, the 6 points difference (48 – 42) from the first 20 minutes was enough for the home team to celebrate. The Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) had their chance one minute before the end of the game when Jock Landale dunked for the score 76 – 74, but the young team from Belgrade (the «White City«) didn’t have the strength to turn the match around. An Interesting fact is that Partizan, even though was losing in the first half, was shooting 7 from 12 for three and in the second half they hit only 2 from 14 attempts. And that was all thanks to

The Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) won 87 – 72 against Turk Telekom in the last round (10th) of the regular season in the EuroCup and advanced to the Top 16. The “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall was full till the last seat even though the match was played on Saints Nickolas Day, one of the biggest “slava” (Family Saint’s Day) in Serbia. Two weeks ago, the next phase of the EuroCup was far away for Partizan, but after two important wins (the first one against ASVEL in France and in the last round against the direct opponent Turk Telekom), the Serbian squad is going to the Top 16 from the third place in the Group C. The Opponents of Andrea Trinchieri’s squad will be Monaco (La Roca Team, Les Rouges et Blancs, The Red and Whites, the 1st team from the Group A), Berlin (Berlin Albatrosse, the 2nd from the Group

Partizan is hosting Turk Telekom in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall, in Belgrade, in the last round (10th) of the regular season in the EuroCup. This game is the key one for the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) because after 40 or more minutes it will be known if the team from Serbia is heading to the Top 16 of the second best European club competition. Till now, in the Group C, Valencia (8 – 2), ASVEL (7 – 3) and Zenit (4 – 6) are qualified and there is only one spot left. 2 teams are applying for this spot: Turk Telekom (4 – 5) and Partizan (3 – 6) and after the game between the Turkish and the Serbian clubs all the Top 16 participants from the Group C will be known. The Team from Ankara won 77 – 72 in the first match against the Black and Whites when

Partizan won 75 – 78 against ASVEL in the Round 9 of the EuroCup, in Villeurbanne, France. This is the third victory for the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) in the second best European club competition. The Team from Villeurbanne already advanced to the Top 16, while the Serbian squad, especially after this win, has a chance to be in that Top 16. ASVEL, from now, has 6 wins and 3 defeats, while Partizan has 3 victories and 6 losses. But there are still one more round left in this Regular Season. In the 10th round, the Black and Whites are hosting the Turkish squad Turk Telekom from Ankara (the capital city of Turkey) and, after that game, everyone will know the four teams from the group C who qualify for the Top 16. The main reason why the guests won yesterday game were the jumps. Partizan outrebounded ASVEL 38 to
