In knockout game Greece won 95 – 77 against Poland and sent them home while they booked their ticket for Istanbul and announced game against first team in Group B Lithuania. Last quarter was enough for Greek team to ensure the victory, they took control over Poland and finished it with score 25 – 10. #EuroBasket2017: Montenegro won 88 – 75 Czech Republic (Out of Round of 16)

Montenegro national basketball team won Czech Republic 88 – 75 for the third place in Group C with 2 wins and 2 losses after 4 rounds. Coach Bogdan Tanjević must be satisfied because most of his players didn’t play in some big tournaments like EuroBasket but his players are showing team spirit and are playing with lots of energy during this tournament. Only bad game was against Spain, where they couldn’t do anything to stop good offensive team like the last EuroBasket champions. Head coach of Serbian national team announced 12 players who will go to Turkey for upcoming EuroBasket and Nemanja Nedovic and Nikola Kalinic won’t be part of the team. Colours of Serbia will be defended: Stefan Jovic, Vasilije Micic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Dragan Milosavljevic, Branko Lazic, Vladimir Lucic, Marko Guduric, Milan Macvan, Stefan Bircevic, Boban Marjanovic, Ognjen Kuzmic and Vladimir Stimac. Acropolis International Basketball Tournament started with a game between Serbia and Italy, where the Aleksandar Djordjevic’s team won 73 – 65. This was the best game for Boban Marjanovic so far, he was a leading player with 21 points and 8 rebounds, Vladimir Lucic scored 12 and Bogdan Bogdanovic, 10. Serbian point guard and new member of Los Angeles Clippers Miloš Teodosić will miss upcoming EuroBasket due to calf injury. These couple of days Teodosić consulted with doctors of the national team and with his new team’s doctors and everyone agreed that it is the best for him to skip this championship. Last day of preparation tournament Belgrade Trophy Serbia won against Montenegro 82 – 71 in hall “Aleksandar Nikolić” and became the winner of the tournament. The best was Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanović. Before this game, head coach of the national team Aleksandar Đorđević wanted tough game and against Montenegro he got it. Belgrade’s basketball club Partizan NIS started preparation for season 2017-2018 on Monday, August 7th with new coach Miroslav Muta Nikolić, assistant coach of senior Serbian national team. First training was in Dinamik basketball hall and started at 8 p.m. sharp.
