Head coach of Serbian national team announced 12 players who will go to Turkey for upcoming EuroBasket and Nemanja Nedovic and Nikola Kalinic won’t be part of the team. Colours of Serbia will be defended: Stefan Jovic, Vasilije Micic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Dragan Milosavljevic, Branko Lazic, Vladimir Lucic, Marko Guduric, Milan Macvan, Stefan Bircevic, Boban Marjanovic, Ognjen Kuzmic and Vladimir Stimac. All these players who will travel to Turkey were playing the last game of the Acropolis International Basketball Tournament against host Greece and won 67 – 69. Second day of the Acropolis International Basketball Tournament (Acropolis of Athens Basketball Tournament, Acropolis Basketball Cup, Greece) the host team of Greece sized up with Italian national team. Acropolis International Basketball Tournament started with a game between Serbia and Italy, where the Aleksandar Djordjevic’s team won 73 – 65. This was the best game for Boban Marjanovic so far, he was a leading player with 21 points and 8 rebounds, Vladimir Lucic scored 12 and Bogdan Bogdanovic, 10. In Italian team the best one was Marco Belinelli with 20 and the second best was Pietro Aradori with 11. Serbian point guard and new member of Los Angeles Clippers Miloš Teodosić will miss upcoming EuroBasket due to calf injury. These couple of days Teodosić consulted with doctors of the national team and with his new team’s doctors and everyone agreed that it is the best for him to skip this championship. That information is also confirmed by the head coach Aleksandar Đorđević, who was in Hamburg, Germany, where Serbia won preparation tournament. The Trophy of Belgrade 2017 winner was known last Sunday after Serbian national team defeated neighbour Montenegro to secure the third win in a row and got extra motivated for furthure preparation tournaments. Although not all of the teams participated could get the trophy, surely they Have managed to get the clear picture of themself and upgrade the things that maybe not been working so well on the court. Last day of preparation tournament Belgrade Trophy Serbia won against Montenegro 82 – 71 in hall “Aleksandar Nikolić” and became the winner of the tournament. The best was Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanović. Before this game, head coach of the national team Aleksandar Đorđević wanted tough game and against Montenegro he got it. Both team played good defence and all players showed how competitive they are, so people in the hall were able to enjoy in basketball. Serbian team played without Miloš Teodisić, Nemanja Nedović, Nikola Kalinić, Marko Simonović and Miroslav Raduljica and in the first quarter that was a problem for Đorđević’s team because they didn’t respond to good shooting start of Montenegrin. Powerfull Serbia Overplayed Greece (Belgrade Trophy, #EuroBasket2017)

Even though the basketball lovers and fans expected it to watch the derby game of the Belgrade Trophy tournament, it turned out to be an easy piece for the Serbians who totally overplayed Greek team. The final score was 93 – 61 (+32). The Greeks opened the match. Pappas tried to end up when was blocked but after Bogdan Bogdanovic missed the basket Olympiakos player Georgios Printezis, captain of the guest team pointed. Belgrade Trophy: Greece won 83 – 81 Montenegro, uncertain game (#EuroBasket2017)

National team of Greece won 83 – 81 (+2) against Montenegro in Belgrade Trophy game opener. Hellenic team scored three of three in preparation period and for Montenegrin team this was the first check before Eurobasket, that starts on August, 31st. Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (20 points and 9 rebounds) was the best player in winning team, showing some amazing moves that proved how talented and incredible player he is. Nikos Pappas scored 17 points. In the Montenegrin team, the best ones were Nikola Ivanović (with 22) and Orlando Magic’s center Nikola Vučević (18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists).
