In the game of the Round 6 of the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos won 93 – 80 against their “Eternity enemy”, Olympiacos, in the Olympic Sports Center Athens (OAKA). The Other games on Friday night belonged to the guest squads: Barcelona was better than Khimki (80 – 87), Žalgiris than Budućnost (60 – 72) and Fenerbahce took the victory in Vitoria-Gasteiz against Baskonia (72 – 74). In the Greek Derby, two totally different halfs were seen. The first one belonged to the guest from Piraeus (41 – 48), while in the second one the home team took control of the game and scored its 4th victory after 6 rounds. The Head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the national selection that will compete in the September window of the European Qualifiers 2017-2019 games for the FIBA Basketball World Cup China 2019. Zalgiris is third in Europe In the game for the third place at the EuroLeague Final Four, Zalgiris won 77 – 79 against CSKA. The game started with good play from both teams, and in the first half it looked like it would be one point game till the end. But the third quarter was excellent for Zalgiris that made 22 points difference before the last part of the game. Fenerbahce will defend the trophy In the opening game of the EuroLeague Final 4, Fenerbahce won 76 – 67 against Žalgiris and made it to the final where the Turkish team will defend the title from the last year. It wasn’t an easy game for the defending champions but they made it to secure another final. The team from Lithuania can be satisfied with the game they showed on the court and tomorow Žalgiris will able to try to win the game for the third spot in the EuroLeague.
