In the EuroCup Top 16 Round 5, Partizan lost 77 – 78 against Rytas Vilnius in a crowded Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall (also known as Pionir). It was a “do or go home” game for both squads, and the Black and Whites were the one who will say goodbye to the European competition, and the team from Lithuania still have a chance to be part of the best 8 clubs in the EuroCup. So, in the next round Rytas will face Monaco in another “to be or not to be” match. The Winner will go forward, and the loser, home. The hero of the match was Artsiom Parakhouski who hit for two in the last seconds. But before those points, Rytas squad missed the shot and while jumping for the ball, lack of communication happened between Partizan players and they sent the ball out. So, the guests had another chance

(@EuroCup) @PartizanBC against Monaco: “Non manca il cuore, manca la testa”

In the EuroCup Top 16 third round, Partizan lost 68 – 72 against Monaco (La Roca Team, Les Rouges et Blancs, The Red and Whites) in a full Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall (also known as Pionir). This was the second loss of the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli) squad in this Top 16, but the good thing in the match was that, even though they were losing, Partizan players didn’t give up and in the fourth quarter they managed to get back in the game but time wasn’t on their side. Nothing was good for the home team (players missed opened shots, especially three pointers) in the first 30 minutes. The Guests from Monaco played good defense and didn’t allow the home team to get closer to the basket, but left Trinchieri’s roster the chance to score from 6.75 m. but Partizan guards missed everything. An Interesting fact was that in

Partizan won 87 – 55 against Krka in the Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall (also known as Pionir) in the ABA League Round 15. After a long time, Partizan had a routine win and all because an excellent defensive game. All the players on the court give their best while defending the basket. From the beginning, Partizan put their signature on the ball and in the first quarter was leading by 9 (20 – 11). In the Second 10 minutes, Krka was playing on the same level as the home team. The Guests find their own game and that quarter was finished with 19 – 19. That was the only part of the game where the away squad showed energy and good defense. It looked like their lost all their strength after that quarter. The last two parts of the match were one time game, in the third quarter the result

In an excellent atmosphere in the “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall (also known as Pionir) Partizan won 78 – 66 (+12) against Berlin in the second round of the EuroCup Top 16. This is the first win for Trinchieri’s squad and the first loss for the German team in the Top 16, because the Serbian team lost 80 – 74 (-6) in the first round against Rytas Vilnius and Berlin was better than Monaco 83 – 74 (+9). After two rounds the situation in the group E is difficult because all the teams have one victory and one defeat (in the other game of the group, Monaco won against Rytas 75 – 70). In Belgrade (White City), the key factor of the victory was the strong and team play. One who was helping his teammates was the American-born naturalized Bosnian-Herzegovinian Point guard – Shooting guard Alex Renfroe who was the MVP
