The Black-Whites won 96 – 58 against Dynamic in the Aleksandar Nikolić Hall (also known as Pionir) in the third round of the Basketball League of Serbia (in the third round of the Serbian Superliga).

Partizan won the third game in the same amount of matches in the national league and this time they were better than the team from Dorćol (an urban neighborhood of Belgrade). In all four quarters, the home team was better than the guests and the results after every quarter of the game were 28 – 16, 22 – 13, 20 – 12 and 26 – 17 accordingly.

After three home matches, Andrea Trinchieri’s squad will play five away games and the first one will be in Novi Pazar against the team that has the name of its city (Novi Pazar).

From the beginning, The Black-Whites were controlling the game. After the first ten minutes, the home team was leading by 12 (28 – 16, as mentionesd before) and after 20 minutes, by 21 points. Coach Trinchieri gave chance to all 11 players available for the game and 10 among them managed to score points. The top scorer in The Black-Whites squad was Nikola Janković with 16 points, while Uroš Trifunović (18 years old, born July 19, 2000) added 14. Đorđe Gagić scored 12 and Vanja Marinković, Alex Renfroe and Marko Pecarski (19 years old, born February 12, 2000) finished the game with 10 points each one of them.

In Dynamic, Đoko Šalić and Dušan Beslać were the only 2 players who had double-digit score, and both of them had 10 points.

After the match, the guests coach, Miro Alilović, said that his team didn’t reacted well at the defensive play of Partizan.

We knew Partizan will play tough game, especially defensively after the match they had against Tamiš in the previous round. But we didn’t respond it well. We missed opened shots, and my team didn’t use to play with this much of contact, as it is normal for the team from the upper league (ABA League). In the end, we will have to prepare better for the next match. Congratulate Partizan on deserved victory and I wish them all the best”, said Alilović after the match.

Partizan coach, Trinchieri, was satisfied with the win and explained that his team woke up after the catastrophic game against Tamiš.

We saw two faces of our team. Against Tamiš and in tonight game. Approach, concentration and defence – there is nothing more left to say. When you have good approach, when you are concentrated on the opponent and when you play defence younger players can also play, and in what level«, said Trinchieri, who was asked to give a comment about Stefan Janković who wasn’t with the team at all.

Where is Janković?! I don’t see him here. Do not worry, I didn’t kill him. He will be with us again”, finished Partizan coach his part of the press conference in the humorous manner.

S. Janković was with his family due to the celebration of his family Slava Saint Georgie (Slava is the Saint’s Day Serbian people celebrating. Every family has their own protector among the Saints in the Serbian Orthodox Christian Church) and that is why he missed the match against Dynamic.
