BC Partizan NIS won against MZT Skopje 112 – 94 in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall in the Round 12 of ABA League.
In his debut game, new head coach Nenad Čanak managed to lead black and whites team to their 6th win in regional league and with this win players of Partizan are continuing their battle for Playoff spot.
Player of the match was Mihajlo Andrić, with 29 points (5 of 7 for threepointers), Aleksandar Aranitović added 17 points, same as Patrick Miller, while Nigel Williams-Goss finished the game with 12 points. Novica Veličković was another player with double-digit points (11).
In MZT Skopje, Bojan Trajkovski was the best scorer with 20 points. Darko Sokolov added 13, while Jure Lalić finished the match with 13 points and Damjan Stojanovski with 12.
Black and whites played excellent defense all game, especially in the first half, and after 24 minutes they had a maximum lead of 32 points (80 – 48).
Coach Čanak, due to injuries of Vanja Marinković, Strahinja Gavrilović, Marko Čakarević and Obrad Tomić, had to play with young players and all of them used their minutes and showed that they could manage to compete with experienced teams.
Andrić and Aranitović managed to score 5 three points shots each, and these two players were the key players of the game. Aranitović turned the course of the game around because in the 17th minute he scored two three points shots in a row for the score 58 – 34, while after one of 29 points of Andrić Partizan managed to count till 100.
Black and whites could try to finish the game with breaking league scoring record of Zadar, that scored 122 in the game against Bosna 15 seasons ago, but Nenad Čanak’s team decided to finished the game in the calm manner.
Now, in ABA League, Partizan is on the 4th position with the same score as Zadar, team from Croatia which is 5th team in the league till now.
