In front of 3200 people in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall, Partizan NIS lost 93 – 98 against Mornar from Bar in the Round 13 of ABA League.
The key quarter was the third one, because in that moment guests came back in the game and for the first time took a lead, too. In those moments Mornar broke energy of Partizan and, in the end, celebrated.
Player of the match was Uroš Luković with 26 points 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Performance Index Rating of ex Partizan player was 40. Brandis Raley-Ross scored 21 for the guests. In Partizan, two players scored 16 points each – Patrick Miller and Nigel Williams-Goss. Strahinja Gavrilović finished the game with 15 points.
Black and whites started furious the first quarter, and that resulted with 21 – 4 after 6 minutes of the match. But after that Partizan didn’t score anything till 30 seconds before the end. But also Mornar wasn’t that good in offense, Partizan didn’t allow guests to score more than 7 points in that part of the game. Final score in the first quarter was 25 – 7 for the home team.
Second quarter passed in the same manner as the first one, Partizan was leading again. Only difference was that guests scored more points than in the first part. Score after first half was 50 – 37.
In Partizan no one had double digits score after first 20 minutes, but two players scored 8 points each – Aleksandar Aranitović and Nigel Williams-Goss. In Mornar, Brandis Raley-Ross scored 11 points.
As it was in almost all previous games during this season, third quarter was the worst quarter for black and whites, and less than two minutes before the end guest took over the lead. First time at the score 61 – 62, and few seconds after the score was 63 – 65 for the guests. At the end of the quarter, Partizan took over the lead and score was 69 – 68 (19 – 31).
First points in the last quarter were score scored by Vanja Marinković, who missed previous games due to leg injury. In this part both teams played on the same level, but guests didn’t miss important three point shots and as a result they were leading 88 – 92 thirty seconds before the end. Final score was 93 – 98 for guests from Bar.
