In the second game of the Serbian Super league Final, Crvena Zvezda won 62 – 68 against FMP and now they will have a first match point for their first trophy of this season.

Last year champion won in Železnik mostly because FMP didn’t guard the ball very well and due to an excellent game of James Feldeine. The home team had 19 turnovers and bad long distance shots percentage, so the guests used the situation and now they are leading 2 – 0 before the third, maybe final, game in this domestic league season. The Red and Whites weren’t playing well either, they lost 14 balls but due to they won no one will remember the bad play.

The best on the court was Feldeine who scored 24 points, while his teammate Alen Omić had 15. In FMP, Dragan Apić was the best scorer with 14 points. Nemanja Nenadić finished the game with 12. Except the American player from Zvezda, all the other three mentioned players were shooting poorly even though they finished the game with double-digit scores.

An interesting fact was that the guests didn’t open the game as it was expected. In the first quarter FMP was highly motivated in defense and, due to that, at one moment, they were leading by 10 (20 – 10) after that part of the game.

Milenko Topić’s squad needed the time to get their heads in the game and they needed Feldeine, who was the only motivated Red and Whites player on the court in the first half. He managed to help his team to get closer and, after that, Taylor Rochestie scored for the lead of 2 points (31 – 33), and, after that, Feldeine scored two three point shots for the 34 – 39. That was the score after the first 20 minutes of the game.

In the second half, Zvezda took the control of the game, and, at one moment, was leading by 12 points (38 – 50), but FMP didn’t give up and in the four quarter, the score, at one moment, was 54 – 57 for the guests. That was the key moment of the game, but Stefan Pot was injured and his absence affected the play so Zvezda used it and scored the second victory.

The third match between these two teams will be on Monday in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall, where Crvena Zvezda will host FMP.
