Serbia without EuroLeague’s players against Germany and Austria

Head coach of Serbian national team Aleksandar Đorđević announced preliminary squad for the second window of World Cup Qualifications.

In February, Serbian men senior basketball team will play two games of the second window in the qualifications for World Cup that will take place in China in 2019. First rival of Đorđević’s squad will be Germany and second one, Austria.

“Eagles” will gathered on February 19th in hotel “Crown Plaza” in Belgrade, and they are going to practice in the capital of Serbia till February 22nd, when the flight for Frankfurt is booked. The day after that one (23rd) Serbian squad will play game against German national team, and match will take place in the same city.

After Germany, next destination is Vienna, Austria, and Serbian team will fly directly from Frankfurt to the capital of Austria on February 24th and game is scheduled for the day after.

Serbian mini tour will be finished on February 26th, when Aleksandar Đorđević’s squad will return to Belgrade.

Before matches, “Eagles” need to start their preparation process and head coach of Serbian national team announced preliminary squad. Đorđević is counting on 24 players to come to “Crown Plaza” on February 19th, and non-of those players are competing in EuroLeague.

The list of 24 players that will compete for the squad for games against Germany and Austria: Stefan Jović (Munich), Vladimir Lučić (Munich), Stefan Peno (Berlin), Ilija Đoković (Borac Čačak), Milenko Tepić (New Basket Brindisi), Aleksa Radanov (FMP), Aleksa Avramović (Varese), Ivan Paunić (Tofaş), Vanja Marinković (Partizan), Dejan Todorović (Bilbao), Marko Simonović (Zenit), Milan Mačvan (Munich), Sava Lešić (Oettinger), Stefan Birčević (İstanbul BŞB), Miroslav Raduljica (Jiangsu Dragons), Đorđe Gagić (Partizan), Ognjen Jaramaz (Mega Bemax), Nikola Rebić (Mega Bemax), Boriša Simanić (FMP), Stefan Lazarević (FMP).
