@PartizanBC couldn’t surprise @kkcrvenazvezda (@ABA_League)

Crvena Zvezda Mts won 86 – 74 against Partizan NIS in the Round 18 and secured place in the 2017-2018 ABA League Playoffs, while Black and Whites can only theoretically be the fourth team in the league.

Red and Whites now have the same number of wins (15) and losses (3) as the leader of the league Budućnost, but the team from Montenegro celebrated in both games against Zvezda and that is why they have advantage for now.

On the other side, team of Nenad Čanak are with two wins less than the fourth team in league, Mornar, and due to tough schedule Black and Whites can only, in theory, book a ticket for the Playoffs in the regional league.

Like in the first derby in this season, team of Dušan Alimpijević was on fire, they scored 14 three-pointers in this match. Also, in this game they had also the sixth player: their own crowd.

The beginning of the game announced a tough match between two well-known rivals and in the middle of the third quarter Zvezda was leading by 1 (55 – 54). Soon after the home team made crucial 16 – 2 on the run, that was the key moment of the game because the reigning ABA League champions didn’t have any problems protecting the result until the end.

Man of the match was young Ognjen Dobrić of Crvena Zvezda, who had another stunning shooting night as he scored 6 three-pointers all by himself. He finished the match with 18 points, while his overall index rating was 24.

The best guy on the court was Novica Veličković with overall index rating of 29, but he wasn’t be able to help his team won against Alimpijević’s team. Partizan’s captain scored 20 points with 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
