Madrid and Fenerbahce held the press conference for the F4 EuroLeague final game at the Press Conference room in the Štark Arena in Belgrade. Head coaches of both teams, Željko Obradović and Pablo Laso, and Fenerbahce player Kostas Sloukas and Madrid player Rudy Fernández talked to the media about the final and the atmosphere in the Serbian capital. The capital of Serbia is hosting the EuroLeague Final 4 Tournament and the best clubs in Europe are now in Belgrade. The opening press conference was held on the courts within the walls of Kalemegdan Fortress where the representatives from the four European clubs (CSKA, Fenerbahce, Madrid and Žalgiris) were talking about the last four games in the championship to come. First of all, the Mayor of Belgrade, Mr. Siniša Mali, and Euroleague Basketball President, Mr. Jordi Bertomeu, welcomed the media, basketball legends and fans who were attending the press conference. While the four EuroLeague Final Four 2018 teams (CSKA, Madrid, Žalgiris and Fenerbahce) are preparing for the Final 4 in Belgrade, the fans were voting for their favourite players in the season 2017-2018. It was and still is an interesting season, so there were a lot of great moments in the league. An interesting fact is that a lot of players had their best season yet, and for some of them, they are able to show more in Belgrade. Every the fan who is following the EuroLeague has one or more favourite players no matter if they will be the best or not. Choosing the favourite ones is a subjective opinion not just connected with basketball knowledge, but with what the person likes to see during the game. Someone is mesmerized with dunks, others with buzzer beater shots and how the players are effecting the game or their team play.

The first semi-final pair at the @EuroLeague Final Four 2018 will be Fenerbahçe Istanbul – Žalgiris Kaunas. The Lithuanian team won in the fourth game of the @EuroLeague Playoffs 2018 against Olympiacos with a score of 101 – 91, while the Turkish team was better than Baskonia with a final result of 83 – 92. Both semi-finalists won against their opponents 3 and lost only 1 game in the @EuroLeague Playoffs 2018 and booked their tickets to Serbia. Three Spanish teams played on December 28th and all three won: Madrid against Fenerbahce with a score of 77 – 79, Malaga 78 – 89 against Maccabi and Valencia 67 – 63 against Panathinaikos from Athens. First Madrid beaten Turkish team in Istanbul at Ulker Sports and Event Hall, with an extraordinary game for young Luka Dončić, who finished the match with 20 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds. Slovenian player help his team to score fourth consecutive victory, and now Madrid have a score of 9 – 6. Fenerbahce also have 9 victories and 6 losses. Even though his team loss, this was a memorable night for Kostas Sloukas, who made his 500th assist in EuroLeague, but still Dončić was number one star on the court in Istanbul.
