Crvena Zvezda Basketball Club (Košarkaški klub Crvena zvezda, KK Crvena zvezda, Red Star Basketball Club, Crveno-beli, The Red-Whites, Zvezda, The Star) won against Partizan (Crno-Beli, The Black-Whites) 70 – 68 (+2) in the ABA League Round 20 and most likely announced another matches between these two rivals in the semi-finals. There are only two more rounds in the regional league and if don’t happen anything unexpected (unexpected is that Budućnost loss any of their three upcoming games), Partizan will be the fourth and will face The Red-Whites in the Playoffs, to be exact, in the semi-finals, and Cedevita will play against Budućnost. After the short break in the ABA League due to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers, Crvena Zvezda is hosting Partizan in the derby of the round. In the Round 20 of the regional league, the Red and Whites are hosting the “Eternal Derby” and, in front of their own crowd, will try to revenge for losing the first trophy in the season. They lost in the Final, in Niš, in the Radivoj Korac Cup against Partizan. The Black and Whites won their first trophy thanks to Jock Landale who made free point shots after the fault made by Billy Baron. In this season first Belgrade derby, Crvena Zvezda won 71 – 77 against Partizan in an “away” game of the ABA league. The Crowd in the “Aleksandr Nikolic” Sports Hall was able to see two different halfs. The first one belonged to Partizan, and the second one, to Red and Whites (Crvena Zvezda, Crveno-beli). The Home team only played 20 minutes on a competitive level, and that wasn’t enough to win against the best team in the regional league. The hero of the match was the Greek player Stratos Perperoglou, with 25 points, while Joe Ragland added 19. Muhammad Faye scored 11 for the guests. On the other side, four players scored more than 10 points.
