In the ABA League round 18, Partizan won 59 – 83 (+24) against Cibona in the Dražen Petrović Basketball Hall (Košarkaški centar Dražen Petrović or Dvorana Dražen Petrović), in Zagreb. In the ABA League Round 16, Zadar is hosting Partizan in the Krešimir Ćosić Sports Hall, in one of the most beautiful cities on the Adriatic eastern coast (also known as Jadran). In Belgrade («White City«), in the Round 5, the game against Zadar was crucial for the Black and Whites (Crno-Beli). Croatian team made it to the second round of World Cup Qualification by beating Romania with a score of 63 – 90. This was a “to be or not to be” game for Croatia because they needed a victory against the team from Romania due to their loss in February against the same rival, but now Drazen Anzulovic’s squad had help from NBA players and they played their roles excellently. Croatia is still on the road for one spot at the World Cup 2019 in China. Dario Saric and Ivica Zubac, combined, scored 42 points (22 from Saric and 20 from Zubac) and 21 rebounds (12 from the player from Philadelphia and 9 from the LA Lakers player).
