@EuroLeague team coming to Belgrade: @PartizanBC hosting @KKBuducnostVOLI

In the ABA League round 19, Partizan is hosting Budućnost (the only squad from the regional league that is playing in the EuroLeague) in the Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall (also known as Pionir).

The Montenegrin team is now the only squad that is playing in Europe from the ABA League due to the fact that the three teams from Jadran (Adriatic coast), Crvena Zvezda, Cedevita and Partizan, lost their chances in the EuroCup after the Top 16. But in the best European club competition not all rounds are finished and after the 22nd round Budućnost has 6 victories and 16 defeats. The Squad from Podgorica (the capital city of Montenegro) won against Baskonia in the round 7 (99 – 84), CSKA in the round 9 (93 – 92), Barcelona in the round 11 (67 – 64), Darussafaka in the round 18 (75 – 74), Madrid in the round 19 (73 – 60) and Gran Canaria in the round 20 (75 – 70).

The Situation is totally different in the regional league. Budućnost is one of the four best teams in the league and for now is on the 2nd position with 13 wins and 5 defeats. The Same number of victories and losses has Cedevita on the third place, while Crvena Zvezda is on the top with only 1 defeat. Partizan is the fourth team with 12 victories and 6 losses.

During this ABA League season, the Black and Whites are scoring 83.11 points per game, while Jasmin Repeša’s squad, 81.83 points per game. So, if we look offensively, both teams are similar, the advantage of the Serbian squad almost isn’t notable. The Situation is similar defensively, but now a little advantage has the team from Podgorica because they were allowing their opponents to score 74.39 points per game, while Andrea Trinchieri’s team is allowing 77.56 points per game.

If we also take a look to other statistical parameters, the situation is identical, so both teams are playing on the same level. Only little things will decide the winner, as it was the case in the first matchup between these two squads during this season. The Team from Podgorica won as hosts in the Round 8 with a score of 75 – 71.

In Morača Sports Center, Partizan had their fans to support them, but now the home squad will have a packed Pionir with their own crowd and that will be a little advantage for the Black and Whites.

The Focus on the match will be on the duel between Jock Landale, who is the best in Partizan (average index rating of 15.06 per game in the ABA League), and Goga Bitadze, who changed Mega Bemax colours for Budućnost blue gear during this season. He was one of the best players in the young Serbian squad (Mega) and now in the Montenegrin team he continues with excellent plays.

The best player in the roster from Pogorica during this season in the regional league is Aleksa Ilić who has an average index rating of 14.50 per game (Injured, only played 2 games, in the rounds 4 and 6). The best scorer in the squad is Earl Clark with 12.39 points per game and the American player has the third best average index rating (13.06) in the team, while the best rebounder is the already mentioned Bitadze with 5.29 rebounds per match. Norris Cole is the best assistant for Budućnost with 4.67 assists per match, while he is also the second best player with an average index rating of 14.17.
