Serbian national team has travelled to Frankfurt where they are going to play the game against Germany today, 23rd February, in the second window of qualification for World Cup 2019 that will take place in China.
This match is going to be the most important game for Aleksandar Đorđević’s team in this round. Both team has two victories and after the game, the leader of the group G will be known. On Sunday, Serbia will be playing another game, this time in Vienna against Austria.
Serbian coach Aleksandar Đorđević had two practices with players and decided not to bring Vanja Marinković, Partizan’s players to Frankfurt.
“Vanja Marinković won’t be travelling with us to Germany. I decided that because Stefan Jović is injured and we need more players on position 1. Which 12 players will in the roster for upcoming games will be decided tomorrow and I am still not sure if Lešić, Avramović or Radanov will be with the team”, said head coach of Serbian national team.
Due to injury of Milan Mačvan, who will be probably out for the rest of the season, Đorđević decided that the team will have two captains – Marko Simonović in the game against Germany, and Miroslav Raduljica in the game against Austria.
Đorđević explained that the team didn’t have major injuries and that only Ilija Đoković had back problems but playmaker from Borac Čačak is now ready to help Serbian team in Frankfurt and Vienna.
