Home victory for Red Star against Barcelona (@EuroLeague)

Yesterday night Red Star won 90 – 82 against Barcelona in the second round of EuroLeague as a home team in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Hall in Belgrade, Serbia. Red and whites were able to celebrate first victory in new season with their fans. Both teams, Barcelona and Red Star have 1 – 1 in EuroLeague. In the first round team from Spain won against Panathinaikos 98 – 71, and Serbian team lost against Zalgiris with a score of 78 – 76. Second round win for home club was a beautiful surprise because this summer Red Star had some changes in the roster and Belgrade club now have a new young coach Dušan Alimpijević, and basketball fans all over Europe knows what the name of Barcelona means in Spanish and European basketball. In Belgrade, in front of approximately 5.000 people in the “Aleksandar Nikolic” Arena, Partizan NIS BC lost in the second round against Lietuvos Rytas with a score 80 – 91. It was an equal game during 35 minutes and Partizan was leading during that period but in the last five guests from Lithuania managed to turn the score and win the game. The best scorer was Rokas Giedraitis with 28 points and interesting fact was that he scored 20 points in the first half, and no other player in both teams had double digits then. In front of their own crowd in “Aleksandar Nikolić” sports hall, Partizan BC won 87 – 84 against FMP and scored their first victory in the new season of ABA League. At the very beginning, Partizan was leading and sometimes it was double digits lead, but guests from Železnik, suburb of Belgrade, were always trying to find a way to get back in the game and to surprise host and win the game. In the last minute black and whites scored a 6 points lead and only thing that FMP could do is to reduce the score and finish the game with the score 87 – 84 (28 – 20, 17 – 23, 22 – 17, 20 – 24). The best scorer in Partizan was Patrick Miller with 20 points, Vanja Marinković added 15, Nigel Williams-Goss 13 (9 assists) and Marko Čakarević finished the match with 12 points, 8 rebounds,

Partizan BC is hosting FMP (@ABA_League 3. Round)

In the third round of ABA League 2017-2018 Partizan NIS will play first time in front of the home crowd and the team will host FMP from Železnik, Belgrade suburb. The game starts at 7 p. m. in “Aleksandar Nikolić” basketball hall, also known as Pionir. While balck and whites lost both games as a guest in the first two rounds of the new season (first against MZT Aerodrom from Skoplje, Macedonia and second against Mornar from Bar, Montenegro), FMP Železnik lost first game against Cedevita from Zagreb in Croatia (76 – 67) and won in the second game against MZT (100 – 72).
