It was a busy night for the EuroLeague clubs. On the first night of the Round 12, Olympiacos won 88 – 81 against Efes; CSKA, 88 – 74 against Khimki; Fenerbahce, 92 – 85 against Milan; Baskonia, 79 – 81 against Maccabi; and, in the ACB Eternal Derby, Madrid won 92 – 65 against Barcelona. The night belonged to the home teams. In the five matches that were played, four hosts celebrated, only Baskonia won as an away squad, in Tel Aviv. The Game of the night was played in Madrid against a well-known opponent, and, in that match, Pablo Laso’s team celebrated and Svetislav Pešić’s team have to returned home with a 6th defeat (same number of victories in the EuroLeague) after 12 rounds. Vesely and Kalinić for the 10th win; Madrid made a comeback against Efes Fenerbahce grabbed their 10th win in the EuroLeague by beating Panathinaikos 69 – 81 in Athens in the Round 11. While the Turkish team won in the capital city of Greece, in Istanbul Madrid was better than Efes after an amazing comeback. The Result of that game was 82 – 84. 100 points for Fenerbahce, only Olympiacos won as a guest In the first night of the Round 8 of the EuroLeague, three home teams won against theirs opponents. Only Olympiacos won (62 – 72) against Munich, in Germany. In the opening game of the round, Efes was better than Maccabi with a score of 90 – 77, while they neighbours from Istanbul, Fenerbahce, won 100 – 79 against another Turkish team, Darussafaka (also from Istanbul). And Madrid was better than Gran Canaria. The result between these two ACB teams was 89 – 76. The Serbian head coach, Aleksandar Đođrđević, announced the 16 players who will prepare for the next qualifying window for the FIBA World Cup 2019 in China. As it was predicted, there are no players from the EuroLeague. After the last qualifying window, during September, the players from Munich (Stefan Jović, Vladimir Lučić and Nemanja Dangubić) were hoping that their team will let them play against Israel on November 30th 2018. His team will play the day before against Maccabi in EuroLeague and they were hoping to stay with the Serbian squad in Tel Aviv for one more day. But Lučić, Dangubić and Jović are not on Đođević’s list. In the game of the Round 6 of the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos won 93 – 80 against their “Eternity enemy”, Olympiacos, in the Olympic Sports Center Athens (OAKA). The Other games on Friday night belonged to the guest squads: Barcelona was better than Khimki (80 – 87), Žalgiris than Budućnost (60 – 72) and Fenerbahce took the victory in Vitoria-Gasteiz against Baskonia (72 – 74). In the Greek Derby, two totally different halfs were seen. The Head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar Đorđević, announced the national selection that will compete in the September window of the European Qualifiers 2017-2019 games for the FIBA Basketball World Cup China 2019. In the first quarter, Partizan managed to have double-digits lead fast (25 – 12, +13), but before the 15 minutes break, the guests from Germany were only three points behind (45 – 42, -3).
