In front of 700 people in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall, French team Limoges won 98 – 101 against Partizan NIS in the 9th round of the EuroCup. This round was dedicated to One Team and, in Serbia, Partizan introduced children from Zvečanska (orphanage in Belgrade) and Special Olympics team. Black and whites were playing in almost empty hall due to Saint Nicholas Day. It is a custom in Serbia that half citizens are celebrating this Saint and half are at someone else’s celebration. But that didn’t stop Nenad Čanak’s team to play a good game against French team. Black and whites showed energy on the court and in the end it didn’t pay-off but this game could be a lesson for more important games in the future. In the fifth round of ABA League, Partizan won 117 – 104 against Igokea from Aleksandrovac in an amazing game in “Aleksandar Nikolic” Hall that celebrated with their home crowd after the game. Both teams played great in offense and till the end it was an interesting game full of amazing plays, but in the end home team took the victory in their hands. The best scorer was Nigel Williams-Goss with 30 points with 8 assists while Patrick Miller added 23 points and 11 assists. More than 10 points scored also Djoko Salic (16 points), Mihajlo Andric (15) and Vanja Marinkovic (14). After the lost against Lietuvos Rytas in the second round of EuroCup with the score of 91 – 80, Partizan Nis BC will host Igokea from Bosnia and Herzegovina in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Hall, in the fifth round of ABA League. Both teams have score 2 – 2, and while Partizan won in the last two round, Igokea had one victory and one loss. Yesterday night Red Star won 90 – 82 against Barcelona in the second round of EuroLeague as a home team in “Aleksandar Nikolić” Hall in Belgrade, Serbia. Red and whites were able to celebrate first victory in new season with their fans. Both teams, Barcelona and Red Star have 1 – 1 in EuroLeague. In the first round team from Spain won against Panathinaikos 98 – 71, and Serbian team lost against Zalgiris with a score of 78 – 76. Second round win for home club was a beautiful surprise because this summer Red Star had some changes in the roster and Belgrade club now have a new young coach Dušan Alimpijević, and basketball fans all over Europe knows what the name of Barcelona means in Spanish and European basketball.
